There would have been little material to start this site if not for a Doctor who settled in New York. The late Dr. James Arnot MacGregor was indirectly the first to provide material for this site.
His incredible collection of snapshots from before the turn of the 20th century through the 1930’s in numerous small towns where he went to school, taught, administered as principal, joined the military during WWI, or at work at a mission has aided to the photograph archive which now touches on Carp, Dalmeny, Kingston, Morrisburg, Ottawa, and Sparta Ontario as well as Teulon, Manitoba (where some photographs were taken for nearby towns or sites in Saskatchewan) and Nakusp, B.C. (which includes a Governor General’s visit and some CPR stops enroute).
